Saffron Behavioral Health is located in the quiet hills of El Cerrito, CA. 

 

Our primary goal is to assist clients with learning the skills needed to reduce their symptoms and manage life's challenges as they arise.

 

Our team of experienced mental health professionals is dedicated to providing our clients with the highest quality care.

Our Founding Vision

Saffron Behavioral Health was conceived from the shared vision of Dr. Jaseon Outlaw, Ph.D., and Dr. Janella Street, Psy.D., recognizing the profound need for comprehensive, compassionate, and individualized mental health services, These dedicated professionals laid the foundation for the highest level of outpatient community-based care. 

Saffron Behavioral Health, nestled in the hills of El Cerrito, our vision is to become an integral part of the community by providing quality, accessible, and affordable behavioral health services to all.  We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment that promotes recovery, resilience, and well-being for individuals and their family.

Our team, under the guidance of our esteemed founders, comprises seasoned psychologists, case managers, and psychiatric consultants. They are dedicated to providing treatment and a genuine partnership in your journey to overall wellness, supported by empirically-based best practices.

Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is committed to protecting the privacy of your health information. We are required by law to:

  • Maintain the privacy of your protected health information

  • Provide you with this Notice of our legal duties and privacy practices

  • Abide by the terms of this Notice

  • Notify you following a breach of your unsecured protected health information.

How We May Use and Disclose Your Health Information:

For Treatment

We may use and disclose your health information to provide you with treatment and services. For example, we may share your information with doctors, nurses, case managers, and other healthcare professionals involved in your care to coordinate your treatment plan.

For Payment

We may use and disclose your health information to bill and receive service payments. This may include sending information to your insurance company or other responsible parties5.

For Healthcare Operations

We may use and disclose your health information for our day-to-day operations, such as quality assessment, improvement activities, and evaluation of our staff performances.

Your Rights Regarding Your Health Information:

You have the following rights regarding your health information:

We reserve the right to change this Notice and apply the new Notice to health information we already have and any information we receive in the future. We will post a copy of the current Notice in our facility and on our website.

Complaints

If you believe your privacy rights have been violated, you may file a complaint with our facility or the Department of Health and Human Services Secretary. Filing a complaint will not affect your treatment or services.

  •  1/2 mile from El Cerrito Plaza BART 

  • AC Transit bus lines 79 and G have stops at Colusa and Fairmount

        (You can also take Bus 79 from BART to the bus stop by the office)

  • 1-1/2 miles from I80/580 off of the Central Ave exit.
